THERMOTEX INFRARED THERAPY SYSTEMS are a patented range of deep tissue infrared heat pads designed to relieve pain, promote healing and accelerate rehabilitation.
Unlike conventional hot packs or heat pads that simply heat the surface of the skin by conduction, Thermotex safely delivers FAR infrared thermal energy beneath the surface of the skin.

Thermotex re-invents infrared by producing 100% FAR infrared, replacing conventional infrared lamps which emit light from different parts of the electromagnetic spectrum and must therefore be used with caution. In studies the unique subcutaneous heat delivery mechanism of Thermotex has been shown to raise temperatures at depths of 6 cm beneath the surface of the skin after just 20 minutes of use.

THERMOTEX INFRARED THERAPY SYSTEMS are designed for repeated use on all parts of the body to deliver effective deep tissue heat therapy. All models come with soft, comfortable covers that are machine washable and feature adjustable Velcro fasteners.

NOTES
CONTROL SETTINGS
All THERMOTEX systems come with hi-low power settings. On the high setting, the micron range is 9.1089 to 8.7778 based on the range surface temperatures of 45c to 57c. On the low setting after full heat up, the micron range holds steady at 9.1376 based on surface temperatures of 44c.

USAGE
It is important to note that the infrared energy radiates from one side of the pad only, with the hard side of the THERMOTEX pad placed towards the body. The padded side does not heat.

IMPORTANT
The infrared inserts are not flexible and should not be bent at any time.

Use THERMOTEX for a minimum of 30 - 45 minutes (longer if required) on each area being treated.  During the first two weeks, it is recommended that THERMOTEX be used twice per day, or 3 to 4 times per day for chronic pain relief.
Begin treatment on the high setting for the first 15 minutes and on the low setting thereafter. All prolonged use of THERMOTEX must be on the low setting.

IMPORTANT
It is important to understand that the heat during treatments will not always feel the same, this is different for each individual and varying reactions will occur in the body depending on the stage of rehabilitation. After you have been using THERMOTEX regularly, you may find that it does not feel as warm as it did earlier. There is NOTHING wrong with your THERMOTEX, it is a good sign and means that it is working well and you will be experiencing relief of pain. It is also normal to feel greater heat on one side of your knee than the other, or on one part of your body.

Thermotex products come with a full 12 month parts and labor warranty.

COVERS
All systems come with covers featuring adjustable Velcro fasteners (excluding Gold and Professional System) and are machine washable. Face covers are100 % nylon and back covers consist of a 50/50 nylon-cotton blend.
